This is a weight loss blog….
Most of the blogs that I follow post foods that I should stay away from, but that I LOVE. Cakes, cookies, frozen yogurt… etc. Is that wrong? Will that sabotage my goals?
Dunno, but today I weighed in at 149lbs. Sweet! Out of the 150s.

Starting weight (restarted Jan 16th): 159.5 pounds
Weigh in #1 on Monday, Jan 23rd: 155.4 pounds, Loss = 4.1 pounds
Weigh in #2 on Monday, Jan 30th: 152 pounds, Loss = 3.4 pounds
Weigh in #3 on Monday, Feb 6th: 151 pounds, Loss = 1.0 pounds
Weigh in #4 on Monday, Feb 13th: 152 pounds, Loss = +1.0 pounds
What? How can that be?!?!?!
Well, I went off my diet for TWO days. I ate good food. I had bread. I had dark chocolate. I had CARBS! I felt that it would be okay since I had a half marathon over the weekend, and needed to carb-load. I truly enjoyed TWO days of yummy food. And I have the ONE pound weigh gain to show for it.
Am I mad about that? Nah! In four weeks, I lost 7.5 pounds. Not quite 2 pounds per week on average, but I’ll take it. I hope I lose 10 pounds in my second month of the program. HERE WE GO!

Okay, not what I wanted to see, but it is a loss, so I’ll take it. Finally out of the 150s by next week? Sure hope so.

I NEED help!
How can I keep from weighing myself EVERYDAY?! Last Monday, I weighed in at 152 pounds…. I’ve been weighing in everyday in the morning, and I’m not seeing the scale budge. Makes me give in to my snack attacks which then makes me stress out because I know I will not lose weight this week. Makes me feel disappointed in myself.

Quick Medifast Food Review:
1. Pancakes are FANTASTIC!!! I’ve always love pancakes, and these are pretty darn good. Spiced pancakes are very “holiday season” and remind me of pumpkin break. Yum! The chocolate chip pancakes are to die for!!! Don’t make one large pancake. Make several small ones so chips spread out evenly. These pancakes are so good that you don’t need the sugar free syrup. I haven’t tried the plain ones, but I don’t think they’ll be as delicious as the spiced and chocolate chip ones.
2. The pretzel sticks are just OK. I can taste the cinnamon and I love the crunch, but you get very little of them. They taste a bit “fiber-y” to me, so I won’t be getting these again. If I crave something sweet, I’ll go for the amazing cookie or brownie (will review those later).
3. Chili is so GROSS!!! I let it soak for about 45 minutes before zapping in microwave. Beans still hard, and just BLEH. No good. I’m thinking of contacting them to do an exchange cause I just can’t bring myself to eat the other 6 chilis. Thank goodness, I only got one box of it.
4. Cinnamon Roll Crunch Bar…. um, its cinnamon roll…. so yea, DELICIOUS!!! So good. I also highly recommend the oatmeal bar and the s’more crunch bar. I personally did NOT like the fruit and nut crunch bar. Too peanuty flavored for me and I’m not a fan of that.

2012 Weekly Weigh In #2
Last Saturday, 1/7/12: 158.6 lbs

Total Lost: ?
I know…. I should have just weighed in, but I just can’t bring myself to do so. I only worked out a couple of times this week, and ate horribly! I’ve been indulging a bit since I know I’m starting a strict low carb diet starting this Monday, so I’m letting myself have the pizza, and whatnot :( To say the least, I’m disappointed in myself, but I’m also determined to get back on track and finally meet my 135 goal.
I have a special cupcake tasting on Sunday, but after that its back to business. I will definitely have to weigh in on Monday morning before starting my diet so I can officially track how much weight I’m losing on my low carb/high protein diet.
Next Friday, I will weigh under 158lbs, I PROMISE! I will kick butt.

2012 Weekly Weigh In #1
I have been in a rut for two months now, and I want out! I decided to pair up with workingthroughtheupsanddowns to help motivate each other to finally lose the rest of the weight. Today is our 1st official weigh in (which we may change to Friday), but her scale wasn’t working, so no weigh in for her.
For me? Well, I was wishing my scale had broken too. Here’s why:
1. I’ve mostly stayed within my calorie limit of 1430/day, sometimes over, but I worked them off at the gym with running.
2. Worked out 3 times…. okay, actually only 2 times this week. One doesn’t really count.
3. Ate out at restaurants too many times and those times… well, food had a lot of salt.
4. Last night went to eat at a fancy seafood/steak place…. whoa! Hold back on the salt people! Too much in my fried food… yea, FRIED food. And alcohol. It was a special occasion, but yeah, this is why I’m okay with changing weigh in day to Friday :)
Alright, off to the important stuff:
Last Saturday, 12/31/11: 159 lbs
Today, Saturday, 1/7/12: 158.6 lbs
Total Lost: -0.4 lbs.
Reflection: Sigh!!! That’s it?! I know. A loss, is a loss, but still!!! I gotta do a better job. If I keep at it this way, it will take me forever to reach my ultimate goal. I was hoping to hit 158 this weekend, but it didn’t happen. So goals for next Friday include: weighing in at 157, for a loss of 1.6 pounds, hard workouts 3 days, eat healthy meals at home everyday except for 1 meal usually allotted for date night. I can do this! I have before!
